About Rob Harper-Charles

Welcoming Rob as the newest member of our team, he offers lessons on Friday’s and brings a wealth of extra experience to Chris Jamiesnon School of Drumming.

 

Rob is an alumnus from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he received a degree in Jazz drums. Having played the drums for 25 years, he has performed at venues such as the ICC, Huntingdon Hall, and Cheltenham, Upton-Upon-Severn and Trondheim Jazz festivals. 

 

In addition to becoming a much valued member of our team, Rob also teaches privately and peripatetically across the Three Counties, as well as coaching bands at Rock School in Worcester. Though his specialisation is Jazz, he has always had a love of rock and metal, is also a pianist and composer, and played for the Worcester Symphony Orchestra on the timpani for a number of years.
